I often find myself wondering why cops are out catching
speeders when there are meth heads, killers, and rapist out but I can actually
come to a conclusion to why. They are looking out for our safety a speeder
could potentially be a threat and cause a wreck, and possibly take lives. Okay I
get it, but why are police (OFF DUTY POLICE) concerning themselves with someone
who walks into a bingo hall and yells BINGO!
Seriously how many old ladies have thought they had a bingo
and called it out at the wrong time? It’s a bit embarrassing for them but
everyone moves on in life. I have been following this story pretty closely
since I heard about it a couple nights ago on several of my local news station.
Long story short (and there are several news stations so several details but a
few remained the same in all stories those are the ones I will list).
Teen (Austin
Whaley) walks into a bingo hall (or group of teens depending on news station),
say bingo a few times. Boom! An off duty cop (Park Hills Police Sgt. Richard
Webster) arrests the teen and cites him for disorderly conduct (Teen battles
temptation to say word forbidden by judge).
Kenton District Judge Douglas Grothaus said “the court must
also have a sense of humor.” (even the judge thought this was a bogus charge)
Judge Douglass banned the teen from saying bingo for 6 months (Covington
Teen Sentenced To Not Say "Bingo" For Six Months).
